Headshot of Claudia Montague

Jazz Instructor

Claudia Montague is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. She started taking ballet and jazz at age four. Not long after, she started training in tap, modern, contemporary, and hip hop. She was lucky enough to study ballet under Ms. Natalie Le Vine, and jazz under Kacy Voskuil. She was part of Pazazz Performing Troupe for six years at St. Louis Academy of Dance. In high school, Claudia studied ballet at The Kansas City Ballet School Summer Intensive.

She also spent summers performing at The MUNY, a large, professional, outdoor theatre in the St. Louis area. She was a member of the Muny Teen Touring Troupe for three years run by Michael Baxter and Nancy Sherwin.

Claudia “virtually” graduated from Florida State University in May 2020, with her Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Music Theatre. At Florida State Claudia studied dance under Kate Gelabert and  Michael Jablonski. Go Noles! More recently she has spent her summers interning with Broadway Dreams. She is also certified in Stage Combat through the British Academy of Dramatic Arts.

She would like to thank Ms. P for sharing the joy of teaching with her! She looks forward to sharing her love for jazz and theatre dance as well as sharing the complex and ever-changing history with her students.
